Presentation of plaques for Wentworth Primary School Outdoor Gym Equipment
On 8th May a whole school assembly was attended by Rhiana Oakley, Tesco Maldon Community Champion and members of the Wentworth PTA for the presentation of plaques.
Following the installation of the latest four items of gym equipment in December 2018, which now brings the total to 9 pieces of equipment, Tesco Bags of Help have given the school a plaque to acknowledge the support given through the scheme which resulted in £4,000 being awarded to the school to pay for some of these items.
The Chair of the PTA, Julie Sollars, also presented a plaque to the school to acknowledge the tremendous generosity from all the children, parents and carers who have supported various PTA events which has enabled further gym equipment to be purchased.
Mrs Dack, Headteacher, told the children that in this, the schools 50th Anniversary year, these two plaques would be a reminder to future children at the school who had provided the wonderful gym equipment.
