🎉Happy Retirement Mr Sollars 🎉

Today is a very sad day at Wentworth as we say goodbye to the legend that is - Mr Bob Sollars!
Mr Sollars first became part of the Wentworth family back in 2013, when his son started in Foundation. He and his wife Julie threw themselves into school life, becoming active members of the PTA. Julie later became PTA Chair, while Bob put his incredible DIY skills to work, creating many of the games and attractions for our school fetes - many of which are still enjoyed today!
In 2017, Bob joined the Wentworth staff as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting a child from Year 4 through to Year 6 with kindness, care, patience and dedication.
Following the retirement of our previous caretaker in 2021, Mr Sollars stepped into the role of Site Manager, where he has spent the past several years keeping our school safe, maintained and running smoothly for both children and staff.
As well as everything he does around school, Mr Sollars also gives his time each year to support the Year 6 Residential and lead Bikeability training for our pupils.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for Bob. He always goes above and beyond. The children adore him, the staff appreciate him enormously, and if ever anything needs fixing, we all know exactly who to ask… because “Yes he can!”
Mr Sollars, from everyone at Wentworth, thank you for everything you have done for our school community over the years. We wish you a long, happy and well-deserved retirement. You will be hugely missed - although we have a feeling this won’t be the last we see of you!
Cheers to you, Bob
