Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
The school SENCo is Mrs J Tinsley
SEN Support
At times, pupils may require more support than what is Ordinarily Available within the classroom setting. Individual support plans may be required to support:
- cognition and learning
- speech, communication and interaction
- social, emotional and mental health
- medical or sensory needs (eg. hearing or visual impairment)
If you have any concerns about your child at school, please reach out to the class teacher in the first instance. Mrs Tinsley, our SENCo, may offer support to the class teacher or parents/carers if required or signpost to other agencies that can provide support which can only be accessed by parents.
Pastoral Care
At times, children may need to discuss their feelings with a trusted adult. Mrs Rayner offers support for a wide range of needs including bereavement, friendship issues, self-esteem and anxiety. Mrs Rayner can also meet with parents/carers to provide support. Please discuss this with your child's teacher or make an appointment to speak with Mrs Rayner via the school office.
Please see the 'Policies and Information' section of our website for more information.
