Maldon in Bloom
Wentworth School was delighted to be awarded Gold at the Maldon in Bloom awards last night. This was for the Best School/Youth Organisation Green Project. This was awarded for the work on the raised beds in Foundation Stage with their 'Potion Kitchen' and 'Maldon Inspired Garden'. The judges really liked the Maths shed with its natural and recycled counters. They also commented on the work done in the allotment area and across the wildlife area making it useful for lots of various activities. Mrs Nicholas, science and environment leader, represented the school with Daniel, Matthew and Oliver and Mrs Firkins.
Mrs Nicholas would like to thank the whole school for their efforts. Also thank you to the parents who have supported the school in The Big Dig and Weed and have donated plants for the allotments.
