Year 3 Natural History Museum Trip
On Tuesday the 25th March, Year 3 visited to the Natural History Museum in London. It was an early start, but the long journey was worth it. They arrived in bright sunshine and were amazed by what they found inside.
First stop was the mammals’ room with the life size blue whale, they then ventured into the earthquake and volcanoes room and were excited to find the simulator was open! The children got to experience what a real earthquake would feel like.
They explored the dinosaur area and came face to face with a moving T-rex, which was a bit scary - luckily, they escaped before being eaten!
The trip ended with an 'Extreme Earth' show, where the children had to save Volcano Town and assist Volcanic Barbie with her mission. We are delighted to say they succeeded and were awarded with a diploma in earthquakes and volcanoes.
Finally, it was back on the coach for the journey back to school. Year 3 had a wonderful day, although we a few very tired children and adults who had a little snooze on the way back!
