Mr Nunn's history visit

Primary School would like to say a great big thank you to Mr Nunn,
Maldon’s local historian, for introducing Wentworth’s History Week where
we are finding
out all about the 50 years from 1969 to 2019 in preparation for our
Golden Jubilee.
Mr Nunn talked to KS1 followed by KS2 about the history of schools in Maldon. Maldon’s earliest school was Beeleigh Abbey in 1180. We learnt about the towns’ benefactors Thomas Plume and Annastacy Wentworth. He talked about national and local events that happened in 1969, the year Wentworth School was built.
